Institute of Peace Studies hosted Workshop on Conflict and Peace Related Issues by the Berghof Foundation

In the framework of the project “Dialogue on the History, as a Base for Normalization”, implemented by the Berghof Foundation, the Institute of Peace Studies (IPS) hosted the workshop on conflict and peace related issues. Project is funded by the Embassy of Germany in Georgia and envisages facilitating Georgian-Abkhazian and Georgian-Ossetian peace dialogue.
During the workshop, students had an opportunity to listen to the Georgian, Abkhazian and Ossetian interviews and then analyze them within the group. In these interviews, people with direct conflict exposure, talk about their personal experience and describe their own perception of the conflict. Interviews were recorded by the Berghof Foundation and are presented in the form of audio materials.
Students expressed deep interest towards the topic, as they had an opportunity to raise their awareness on the perceptions and assessments of Georgian, Abkhazian and Ossetian respondents and analyze the conflict from different perspectives.
