Establishment of the Institute of Peace Studies was one of the objectives of Erasmus+ project - PESTUGE.  As a member of the project consortium, Caucasus University expressd readines to  host and support the Institute on its premises and provide necessary space and support. IPS was created and formally launched at the Tbilisi International Peace Conference in 2018
